My mom sent me this e-mail:
Hi Katelyn,
I love you.
We (dad and I) love you regardless of what you do or what you accomplish.
We love you whether or not you are a star student, a community activist, a church member or a politically savvy teenager.
You are Katelyn.
Accept life on life’s terms (fun, hard, challenging, exhilarating, painful…).
Don’t try to master life in one day.
Life can’t be mastered or controlled.
Save time to smell the roses.
Breath…
Appreciate.
Mama
I cry everytime I read this. I wish that I could be reminded of this everyday. But everyday in a different way.

"Accept life on life's terms" wow- that's so profound! I've never thought of that before, and I feel like I should have. I shall ponder it. :) That's a lovely letter Katelyn, I remember you telling me about it.
